Shared Learning Standards

All teachers in the same Subject Group use the same Learning Standards to tag their questions

All teachers who join your Collaborative Subject Group will end up using the same Learning Standards that currently exist for the Subject Group. So, how do Learning Standards work? Simply put, Learning Standards are just a way to tag and organize your questions, and they are composed of 2 key parts: Categories & Standards. Organizing your questions according to Categories and Standard are highly recommended, as they allow other teachers in your Subject Group to see the questions that currently exist under various standards.

Category

A Category is a group of Standards.

Standard

A Standard can be thought of as a “topic” to tag your questions with.

💡
We recommend using whatever Learning Standards your course uses (e.g. NGSS, Common Core, AP, TEKS). However, fundamentally, Learning Standards are just a way to organize your questions, so you can also work with other teachers in your Subject Group to find a Learning Standards organization system that works best for y’all!

FAQ: How do I create questions for each Learning Standard? Questions are created when you are putting together an assignment. To do this, navigate to the “Assignments” tab in the side navigation bar and then create an assignment. When you are creating questions there, you can tag each question with Learning Standards.
