Archiving an assignment vs deleting a question

Understanding why archiving an assignment DOES NOT delete the questions in the assignment

You might run into a situation one day where you launched an assignment, only to realize that there's an error on one or more of the assignment's questions. Unfortunately, some of your students have already started this assignment.

The good news is that you can archive this assignment, which removes all student access to this assignment:

💡
IMPORTANT!: please note that archiving an assignment DOES NOT delete the questions or its associated student data. Because assignments can re-use questions from past assignments, Podsie does not delete questions when archiving assignments.

What to do if you also want to delete the assignment’s questions

If you want to delete the questions, you must first click on the “trash” icon for each question in the assignment:

After you’ve done this, you can then archive the assignment.
