How does the Personal Deck work?
Personal Deck explained
At a high level, the Personal Deck is very simple!
- Any questions you complete in an Assignment will go into your Personal Deck.
- The questions that you miss more will show up more frequently in your Personal Deck.
- The more you get a question correct in a row, the less that question will show up in your Personal Deck.
- The more you study your Personal Deck, you’ll earn XP (see Experience (XP) for Students).
Personal Deck Example
Suppose that your teacher gave you an Assignment with 2 questions:
- The first question is about cells.
- The second question is about Newton’s Laws.
Let’s say that you missed the first question about cells, but got the second question about Newton’s Laws correct. When you’re done with this assignment, both questions will be inserted into your Personal Deck. The next day, the Personal Deck will ask you to review the first question about cells. However, the the question about Newton’s Laws won’t show up until about a week later because you originally got it correct. In a week, when you review the question about Newton’s Laws, if you get it correct again, then you won’t see that question for about 3 weeks. The more you answer a question correctly in a row, the longer the Personal Deck will wait until it asks you to review that question again.
